The one whom I know

my hearts treads before my mind

I can’t stop myself

My heart treads forward before my mind

and so I’m lost to temptations of all different kinds

When my head does catch up, it’s far too late

all of the bad decisions have already been made

who knows how many times that I’ve repeated this cycle

one day I hope to break it free

and instead go straight with the one whom I know

but the devils have their hold on me
